As a family run business, we know how important children’s learning development is so we offer soft play facilities with a difference. Our mission is to provide a safe, clean environment for children to have fun and for growns ups to relax in by creating a fun space where educational play is second nature. Celebrate in style with a Sprout About Party! Parties can be booked within any of the usual session times, any day of the week (during school holidays) or weekends throughout the year. Great for school children and young ones alike.
Book online anytime or by appointment Monday-Friday with our party co-ordinator who will be able to guide you through all the options, packages and prices, as well as show you the party rooms.
£19.99 per child
Package includes:
- Minimum of 12 children, maximum of 35 children. Party room(s) will be allocated upon booking and an additional £50 fee may apply for bookings with over 25 children attending due to requiring 2 party rooms.
- Party times: 9.15am-11.30am / 12.00pm-2.30pm / 3.00pm-5.30pm, Saturday & Sundays plus weekdays within the school holidays.
- Each party child guest receives admission to the play area and admission for 1 free accompanying adult. The birthday child receives admission for 2 additional adults.
- Party food buffet with 6 food choices, freshly prepared by the Rose Cottage Café, and served at your chosen time. Breakfast, lunch and tea options are available. Food choices to be selected at time of booking.
- VIP private entrance door into your party room and access into the play area directly from your party room.
- Wrist bands for all of your guests.
- Invitation template emailed to you on booking or professionally printed invitations available to collect. Includes arrival instructions for your guests.
- Private party host for the duration of your party who will welcome your guests and ensure the smooth running of your party.
- Party host will help assist with cutting slices of cake to put into party bags if you wish.
- Your party host will be ensuring all party guests return to the room for their food.
- Exclusive use of your party room for the duration of the party.
- Tea and coffee buffet table for the adults on arrival.
- Unlimited squash and water for the duration of the party.
- Treasure chest gift trunk to store your child’s gifts for the duration of the party.
- Party rooms have air conditioning if required.
- Home bakers are welcome to bring their homemade cake and shop bought cakes are permitted. Alternatively, you can order a cake through our Bakery by calling 01865 392203, this will then be in your room ready on the day of your party.

Step into Mr & Mrs Sprout’s cottage kitchen and enjoy all the delights they have to offer! All our tasty food is freshly made on site by our talented team – it’s perfect for refuelling after some energetic play. Choose from a wide variety of hot and cold drinks, snacks, light bites and indulgent treats – great for grown ups and little sprouts alike!
Please note that only food purchased on site is allowed in the play barn. We are a nut free site, however cannot guarantee no traces due to shared production areas. Please contact us in advance to discuss severe medical allergies (not intolerances) as we do allow for some food items to be brought in to Sprouts for these individuals in particular circumstances.

We run three play sessions every day and between each session our team thoroughly clean the seating area, play frame and customer toilets ready for our next group of visitors. This way you can be sure, whatever time of the day you want to play, you are welcomed into a clean and fresh environment.

£4.00 per child for entry to the 3pm - 5:30pm play session regardless of their age. Pre-book online and the discount will be applied automatically when you book a valid session.
Can I bring a pushchair in?
Yes. Pushchairs to be brought into the play barn at a charge of £1.50. Alternatively, you can leave them free of charge in our outside covered pram stable. Car seats are welcome and the car park is adjacent to the Play Barn.
Why do I have to pay for my pushchair?
We are required to restrict the number of these in the building due to our fire regulations and we are keen to keep the inside of Sprouts as clean and as mud free as possible.
Can I bring my own food into Sprouts?
No, only food purchased on site is allowed in the play barn. Rose Cottage Café is situated in the Play Barn and serves a wide variety of delicious hot and cold food, and snack. We also have a wide range of products suitable for those with special dietary requirements. This policy includes birthday cakes, so please contact us if you would like to arrange a birthday cake for your visit from our bakery (14 days notice required for all cake orders). Birthday cakes are only available if you have a party booking with us.

Can I leave and re-enter the play barn throughout the day with the same ticket?
No. Your Sprouts ticket allows you to play on the specific date and time session of your booking. There’s a lot to explore at Sprouts so we envisage our customers wanting to spend the duration of their session inside.
If individual group members need to briefly leave during their booked time slot to visit other areas of Millets Farm, our staff will allow this under particular circumstances. Please speak to them on site during your visit and they’ll be happy to help.
Is smoking permitted in or around Sprouts?
No. Smoking and vaping is not be permitted within Sprouts Play Barn or its surrounding areas.
Is there a limit on play time?
We run 3 x timed play sessions per day, 7 days a week - 9.15am – 11.30am, 12noon – 2.30pm and 3pm – 5.30pm.
You can book these time slots in advance here to secure your space. You will be asked to exit the play area promptly at the end of your booking to allow our team to fully clean and prep the area for our next session.
Can I buy a family ticket to Sprouts?
We do not currently offer family ticket prices.
How do I open a membership with Sprouts?

Can I book onto more than one session and stay for the duration of these?
You are welcome to pre-book multiple timed sessions per day, however all customers will need to exit the Play Barn at the end of each timed booking so our team can clean and fully prepare the play area for the next session.
Can I reserve spaces within the Play Barn?
No. Unfortunately we cannot take reservations for tables within the Play Barn however we have plenty of tables available in both the Meadow and Orchard seating areas. Tickets purchased in advance guarantee you entry to the Play Barn for your booked session, however it does not guarantee you a table. This is because part of our capacity allows for some customers to use the coat hooks and lockers only.
Who supervises the children?
Parents/guardians must supervise their children at all times. Children must be supervised by an adult over 18 years of age who is responsible for their care for the duration of your visit to Sprouts. At no time can children be left in the Play Barn unattended.
Why do we charge for adults?
Sprouts Play Barn and the soft play frame is for all the family to enjoy together, no matter what age! All of our play equipment and facilities are suitable for adults to enjoy too.
What clothing should the children wear?
It’s best to wear comfortable clothes, ideally long-sleeved tops and long trousers. SOCKS must be worn by children and adults at all times in all play areas. It is advised that jewellery, watches and loose items in pockets are removed. Lockers are situated near the party rooms - you’ll need a £1 coin to use them, which is returnable after use.
Is there parking nearby?
Yes. We have dedicated parking right outside the Play Barn, including disabled parking too. Sprouts customers are also welcome to park in any other site parking at Millets Farm. There is walkway access to Sprouts Play Barn by foot via the play area near Millets Wildside.
How do I get to the Sprouts car park?
Sprouts car park is signposted at the bottom of the main Millets Farm driveway. Go straight ahead after coming down the main drive, then turn left at the mini roundabout. You will see the Sprouts entrance straight ahead of you. Our main car park is on the right and our overflow car park is on the left.
Can I get a refund if we can’t make a booked session?
No, however if you contact us before the start of your booked session by emailing us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. we will endeavour to transfer your booking to an alternative date and time to suit you (subject to availability). We are unable to split bookings, move single tickets or offer refunds for any missed bookings.
Do you have toilets within Sprouts?
Yes, we have unisex toilets and baby changing facilities within the Play Barn. We also have a disabled toilet and changing room which has a large change bed. Please note, toilets inside Sprouts will be closed 5 minutes prior to the end of each play session to allow sufficient cleaning time between play sessions. The toilet located in the Sprouts foyer will remain open for use.

Pop in to play from 3.00pm – 5.30pm on any term time Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday and pay just £4.00 per child, regardless of their age! Our cafe serves delicious home cooked food until 5pm, so why not grab dinner before you head home too? This offer is subject to availability. Discount will be applied when you book a valid session.

SEN Sessions
SEN sessions are back! Taking place bi-monthly on the first Thursday of the month, from 3.00pm - 5:30pm, these play sessions are specifically for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and their families. Sessions provide a safe environment to play and have fun, having fewer visitors in them and quieter music. Rose Cottage Café will be open as usual during this session plus there’s a changing bed facility within Sprouts to make your visit easier.
Schools Package
Why not visit us for your end of term party and book out a party room? And for Early Years and Key Stage 1 children…We have a more tailored package that offers you the perfect solution to keeping the children entertained and educated.
The package includes:
- entry to the Play Barn via a private party room door.
- exclusive use of party room from 9.15am until 3pm to store belongings, eat packed lunch (children’s own) and use as a base for your day. The trip organiser will be given a key to the room and will be responsible for the safety of all belongings.
- admission to Sprouts Play Barn anytime from 9.15am to 11.30am – 1.15pm.
- access to the animal walkway, outside play area and Phoebe Woods directly from the party room.
The cost of this package is £4.50 per child / £1.50 per adult and is available on off-peak days only (term time), subject to room availability. All trips must be pre-booked and paid for in advance via BACS, card payment over the phone or cheque.

We can't wait to welcome you to the wonderful world of Hartbeeps at Sprouts! Hartbeeps is a magical, energetic and educational group for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. Our award-winning fun and interactive music classes include music, drama, creative play, dance and movement, all set to a fantastic soundtrack of remixed nursery rhymes, funky, original kids songs and lullabies.
You'll find us at Sprouts every THURSDAY during term time:

jojo Massage
Babies really do love a massage!
Join Jo from jojo Baby Massage and learn some wonderful massage techniques. I promise you will both get something from it… dare I say it… normally a very sleepy baby by the end of the session!!
Baby Massage is empowering and allows the parent to just be with their baby and enjoy a joyful, calming, and very often smiles and cooing thrown into the mix, experience!
Sessions will run every Monday (term-time) from 1-2pm in the Dairy Room.
As you step into the room it will remind you of being back in a spa…. Soft lighting, air smelling of a delicious blend of organic oils, soothing music, and a cosy floor mat for your baby.
Places will be limited to 8 babies per class.
