Printing & Dying with Lechlade Craft Barn

Combining the ancient art of Block Printing on fabric and paper and the contemporary method of silk dyeing using a microwave!
Firstly you will discover the ancient art of block printing using hand-carved wooden blocks made in rural India by skilled artisans. Block printing can be used to create designs on bags, soft furnishing, clothing, lampshades and more. Experiment with colours and designs on your sampler piece and then move on to create a scarf, tote bag, apron, tea towel or why not print cards and matching wrapping paper?
During this workshop you will also learn silk dyeing fabric in a microwave.
£50 - includes all materials, tea & coffee and lunch

Located in the Lake Room which can be found to the right of the Lakeview Suite, above the Farmhouse Kitchen Restaurant via the stairs in the foyer (opposite the exit to the Farm Shop. Lift available).
