BUTCHERS

Our Butchery counter has five qualified traditional butchers with combined experience of over 100 years.

We aim, wherever possible to source local meats from within Oxfordshire. Whole carcasses are cut, jointed and trimmed on our butchers block, and our skillful team are happy to take bespoke orders and can cut and finish to any weight.

All of our beef has been hung for at least 21 days to guarantee superb flavour and tenderness, and up to 42 days in our new dry aging cabinet.

From mid-September to February we have a selection of locally reared and shot game, including pheasants, partridge, venison and duck. Game sausages will also complement our huge variety of handmade sausages which are produced each week from over 150 different recipes. With over 80% pork meat content, our sausages really are the best in our field.

From spring lamb, to handmade fresh burgers, we work hard to deliver a full calendar of seasonal meats to our customer, making our butchery counter something we are really proud of.

Festive Meats
This year we are offering 3 ways of ordering/collecting your festive meats. Simply read below and select the best option for you...

Option 1:
Order from the Butchery Counter within the Farm Shop and collect from Butchery Counter. £10 deposit per order is required. Christmas orders can be collected from the Butchery counter between 22nd - 24th December at which point the balance will be settled.
Option 2:
Order online and choose to collect from the Butchery Counter within the Farm Shop. You will be asked to pay your final balance upon collection of your order.
Option 3:
Order online and collect from our car park. If choosing car park collection you will be called on Monday 21st to take the final payment of your order. At your collection time please park in on our Click & Collect bays and your order will be delivered to your car.

Regardless whether you choose option 2 or 3, at checkout you will be asked to state which day you would like to collect & we will allocate you a collection time slot after you order has been processed.

The festive meat ordering system is based on placing a £5 or £10 deposit per item ordered, except for hand raised pies. The total of your deposits/order, will be
deducted from your final bill & the final balance is due upon collection of your order.

Last ordering date is Sunday 13th December.

Collection dates are between 22nd-24th December 2020 from the Butchery Counter within the Farm Shop or from our car park collection point.

To complement our main Butchery counter we also have a cooked meat counter selling handmade sausage rolls, pasties, scotch eggs and sliced meats.

Our cooked meats counter can prepare a variety of platters perfect for any party. Options includ; home cooked ham, beef roasted to your liking, whole dressed salmon, home roasted turkey, flavoured chicken drumsticks and mixed charcuterie.
A variety of different sausage rolls are handmade in our kitchens, as are our delicious Scotch Eggs. All of which can be pre-ordered.

Our butchers work closely with the chefs in the Farmhouse Kitchen to ensure we serve our customers the highest standards of meat.
