Millets Maize Maze
Friday 14th July-Sunday 3rd September

maze maize event

Each year, the maze has a different theme; for 2017, this will be “Seaside”.

Opens Friday 14th July-Sunday 3rd September plus the weekend of Saturday 9th & 10th September. Torchlight Nights are Saturday 2nd & Saturday 9th September.

Visitors can enjoy 3 different Maize Mazes games, 3 themed woodland quizzes, a fort maze, go-kart area and courtyard of activities. New for 2017, will be our Crazy Golf zone.

Admission charges apply (prices TBC), and tickets will be available to purchase online or on the day from the ticket booth.

Our Maize Maze is planted in April to ensure its ready for the opening in July. At the end of the summer, the maze is closed to prepare for our Halloween Howl spooktacular! At the end of the year the crop is cut and the field ploughed.

We suggest families allow >2 hours to visit the maze attraction and complete all the activities.

Millets Maze is located on the overflow car park.

More information to follow.

History of the maze:

Starting in 1997 Millets Maize Maze certainly made itself known with people visiting from far and wide to try out the UK's first and world and World Record Holding Maize Maze. With 3.73 miles of pathway and covering almost 8 acres it took some visitors 4 hours to complete it! A maze cut into the maize means that unfortunately it must be harvested towards the end of the year and the crop is fed to the cattle. However this does provide a perfect opportunity for us to create a new maze every year. So far we have had;

Windmill (97)
Dragon (98)
Pirate Ship (99)
Woodland Theme (2000)
Space Rocket (01)
Jungle Theme (02)
Whale (03)
